Stone Cold Country

We Feature New Traditional Country Music

Good music needs to be heard! We love hearing the legacy Bob Wills, Hank, Waylon, Lefty, and others have left in the voices, and songwriting craftsmanship of today's up, and comers.

It is truly about the music, and moving forward in a fresh, authentic, and inspiring way. We believe authenticity can be defined in a phrase coined by noted songwriter Harlan Howard "Three chords, and the truth".. Our aim is to bridge the old with the new, and on these pages, you will find interesting stories about the golden years of honky tonk music. Additionally, we share our passion concerning artists that are holding the torch high for traditional forms of country music right now.

We also offer a variety of ways to engage on a more meaningful level, and support our mission to keep traditional country music alive.
Everything from becoming part of our music listening panel to advertising your business with us can be found right here.

We also offer unique gifts for that special someone in your life here.
There is still some amazing country music to be heard. We hope we can bring more to you, and maybe learn a thing or two along the way.
Also don't forget to check out our show for some amazing artists on #StoneColdCountry Mondays from 12-2:30 PM (EST).
It also re-airs on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 7-9:30 PM (EST).

The New Traditionalists Special Series

We are so proud of the amazing talent we've showcased in our New Traditionalists podcast series! In 2020 we decided to hand pick six artists 25 years old, and younger who are keeping it country. The response to this series has been unprecedented by you the fans of traditional country music.

Our sixth installment features Zac Clifton, a 20 y/o with a pristine tenor voice that rivals the likes of Vince Gill, which I always thought was humanly impossible! This Texan has impelled high praises from Kris Kristofferson, and Merle Haggard, who he played a couple of shows with. Nothing like paying it forward as I recall a story about how Lefty Frizzell gave a star-crossed teen fan an opportunity to sing at the club he was playing.. That fan was Merle Haggard!

Zac's music is best served in a Texas dancehall with plenty of sawdust, and beverages. But there will be those that will stay at their respective tables mesmerized by the clear-as-a-bell heartfelt vocal delivery of this Texas Troubadour. It's really not fair, Zac should be playing with Lefty, and Hank!
But I'm glad he's not.. Zac is exactly what this generation needs, and what the hardcore purists will appreciate as a reminder. There is hope yet.. Check out Part one here
