It's is always exciting to see our favorite artists receive recognition by the industry, but sometimes we wonder why Artist A won instead of Artist X. It happens, and that is why there are fan voted awards that can help your favorite artists get the recognition you as a fan believe they deserve. Here's your chance to right the wrongs and nominate your favorite artist in a new show dedicated to awarding the very best in country music according to the fans.
People's Choice Country Awards
Country music has reached unprecedented popularity since the lockdown in 2019. The increase in listenership has come in part by a surge in streaming from us country music fans. Sometimes there is amazing power in the numbers. And those increases in country music listeners will help songwriters too, since royalties will now increase. It is absolutely about t time, and at the very least, it is a step in the right direction. So keep streaming and buying everybody!
Back to The People's Choice Awards which is an annual event that recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of musicians in various genres based on the votes and preferences of music lovers. Established in 1975 by Procter & Gamble, this prestigious awards ceremony has since become one of the most anticipated events in the music industry. This year country music gets its own show, yeah! What follows are the details on how, and where to vote, and watch!
Voting started in August 16 and runs through 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, August 25, 2023 . Fans can also vote online at www.votepcca.com
The show will be at The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, get tickets here. and can be watched on the Peacock Network, and NBC on September 28th, 2023.

The only thing close to gauging artist popularity across social media that we were able to find that is recognized as trustworthy was the
Pollstar Artist Power Index. It gauges several metrics including socials to measure an artist's popularity. I'm wondering, if the award is for artists that are engaging frequently across social media or the voracity of mentions across platforms or both?
There are two important items that I want to highlight. From 12:00 am ET - 11:59:59pm ET on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, your vote will count as two votes for the artist! A great opportunity to make sure your faves have the best chances of winning. Also, you must be 18 to vote, and voting is not available outside the United States.
Blake Shelton is set to bestow the Country Icon Award to Toby Keith, who has been battling stomach cancer for the past year or so. Toby has some new Luck E fishing gear debuting soon. Little Big Town will be hosting the People's Choice Country Awards Show. Lainey leads nominations among the ladies. and Morgan Wallen leads overall nominations. Morgan currently sits at number one across multiple charts, including Hot Country, Streaming, Top Country Albums, Songs of the Summer, and the Hot 100, where the song "Last Night" has made Hot 100 chart history with the most weeks at number one from a solo male artist. Here's my fave from Mr. Wallen.
